The House System

An integral part of the school program is our House System. Students are placed in one of four houses.
JELLS, NAPIER, SCOTT OR DERRIMUT

The winning house for 2006 was Napier.  2007 winners are Derrimut for the swimming sports and Scott for the Athletics.

Students earn points participating in many extra curricula as well as sporting events. We encourage students to become involved in special events such as our annual 'School Production' or 'Dance Spectaculars' and perform for parents and friends at Presentation Night.

Many an actor, dancer, backstager, publicist and writer has been 'born' through this aspect of life at Wheelers Hill Secondary College. The students have the following opportunities to develop their 'musical' side through:

• Classroom music Year 7 and 8
• Music electives Year 9 and 10
• Instrumental tuition
• Membership in the 'School Band'
• Participation in recitals and productions
• Music camp and excursions
