Years 11 & 12 - VCE/VCAL/VET
Wheelers Hill Secondary College offers students the opportunity to take all major VCE studies along with many studies frequently not available in schools with lower enrolments. For example, we offer catering, drama, studio arts, theatre studies, philosophy, psychology, literature, and physical education. These are available to VCE students as well as selected Year Ten students ready to access VCE. A programs approach to course selection helps students make program choices geared to a wide range of careers.
Our VET programs are carefully designed to improve students vocational pathways. They facilitate credit transfer arrangements into TAFE courses or assist students to directly enter the workplace.
Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL) is a hands-on option for students in Years 11 and 12. The VCAL gives you practical work-related experience, as well as literacy and numeracy skills and the opportunity to build personal skills that are important for life and work. VCE prospectus and Unit Description booklet is available on request.
